Perpipaan untuk Bahan Bakar Diesel (Solar)

  
§ 75.1905-1 Sistem perpipaan untuk bahan bakar diesel (solar).
 

(a) Sistem perpipaan bahan bakar diesel pada permukaan tanah harus dirancang dan dioperasikan sebagai sistem kering, kecuali tersedia shutdown otomatis untuk mencegah kerugian kecelakaan atau tumpahan bahan bakar yang dapat menyalakan sistem alarm. 
 
(b) All piping, valves and fittings must be—
(1) Capable of withstanding working pressures and stresses;
(2) Capable of withstanding four times the static pressures;
(3) Compatible with diesel fuel; and
(4) Maintained in a manner that prevents leakage.
 
(c) Pipelines must have manual shutoff valves installed at the surface filling point, and at the underground discharge point.
 
(d) If diesel fuel lines are not buried in the ground sufficiently to protect them from damage, shutoff valves must be located every 300 feet.
 
(e) Shutoff valves must be installed at each branch line where the branch line joins the main line.
 
(f) An automatic means must be provided to prevent unintentional transfer of diesel fuel from the surface into the permanent underground diesel fuel storage facility.
 
(g) Diesel fuel piping systems from the surface shall only be used to transport diesel fuel directly to stationary tanks or diesel fuel transportation units in a permanent underground diesel fuel storage facility.
 
(h) The diesel fuel piping system must not be located in a borehole with electric power cables.
 
(i) Diesel fuel piping systems located in entries must not be located on the same side of the entry as electric cables or power lines. Where it is necessary for piping systems to cross electric cables or power lines, guarding must be provided to prevent severed electrical cables or power lines near broken fuel lines.
 
(j) Diesel fuel piping systems must be protected and located to prevent physical damage.

Kode Standar ASME untuk Perpipaan


Penting untuk diketahui dalam perancangan dan analisa sistem perpipaan adalah kode standar yang digunakan di dalam dokumen teknik, pembuatan/produksi komponen perpipaan, operasional, dan perawatan sistem perpipaan. Salah satu sistem kodifikasi standar perpipaan yang dikenal luas adalah ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers). Sistem standarisasi ini menjamin keseragaman kualitas produk dan kemampuan tukar (interchangeability) komponen perpipaan. Berikut ini adalah beberapa kode standar dari ASME untuk sistem perpipaan:
  • ASME B31.1 Power piping (steam piping etc.)
  • ASME B31.3 Process piping
  • ASME B31.4 Pipeline Transportation Systems for Liquid Hydrocarbons and Other Liquids
  • ASME B31.5 Refrigeration piping and heat transfer components
  • ASME B31.8 Gas transmission and distribution piping systems
  • ASME B31.9 Building services piping
  • ASME B31.11 Slurry Transportation Piping Systems
  • ASME B31.12 Hydrogen Piping and Pipelines

Pertimbangan penting dalam sistem perpipaan

Konfigurasi perpipaan yang baik adalah yang paling murah. Hal ini menuntut pertimbangan yang teliti dalam biaya instalasi, pengaruh rugi tekanan (pressure lost) saat beroperasi, beban tegangan yang terjadi, pengaruh penopang dan pengait, stabilitas, kemudahan perawatan, pengembangan kapasitas secara paralel, dan banyak lagi hal penting lainnya.
